Have fun and learn about the Hanaguri Ide
The Hanaguri Ide Park, opened in 2003, is a space where visitors can learn about and enjoy the Hanaguri Ide, a treasure of Kikuyo. You can get a view from above of the Hanaguri Ide at the lookout point; learn about the 400-year history of the canal, its relationship to the locals, and find out about the genius behind the canal via videos and displays at the Exchange Center; and you can also play on the playground that features slides and a jungle gym. Events are held year-round, including the Hanaguri Ide Festival held every year in November.
