  • Suginamiki Park

    This park is filled with greenery. The name "Suginamiki" means "cedar-lined road" and is named after the Bungo Kaido. The park holds many events, and is an excellent place for the family and for couples. The park features a community space, an outdoor stage, and a multi-purpose sporting ground.

  • Hanaguri Ide Park

    Hanaguri Ide Park features a lookout platform where you can see the Hanaguri Ide from above, as well as an Exchange Center where you can learn all about the amazing workings and history of the canal through videos and display panels. The park also features a slide, jungle gym, and large grass play area.

  • Hikari no Mori Park

    This is a large park located next to the Youme Town Hikari no Mori Shopping Area. The park features a large play area themed after Carroppi, a local carrot-shaped mascot, as well as a long roller slide. Thanks to three other slides, car-themed playground, and more, this park is a popular place for parents and kids to come play.

  • Miso & Soy Sauce Museum

    This museum dedicated to miso and soy sauce is located in a renovated building with ties to Umeya (current Yamauchi Honten), a producer of miso and soy sauce dating back to the 1700s. You can learn about the history of miso and soy sauce through displays, and even buy some Yamamura Honten products.
